Sore muscles all over, but well rested, it was time to see Milford Sound. The bus came around 7:45am, but before it about 3 or 4 other Milford Sound tour busses came to the hotel to pick up tourists. We got on the bus which was fairly comfortable, and began the long trek out to [...]
I woke up too early with a cloudy head. I grudgingly accepted the fact that I had to get out of bed. Eating carrots and bananas and drinking plenty of water, I waited several hours before I embarked on my Ben Lomond mission. I spent several hours preparing sandwiches, packing my bag, showering, and getting dressed. It [...]
Life in Queenstown is so painfully simple: Wake up early, go do a bunch of things, eat dinner somewhere/picnic on the lake, then go drink at the bars, then do it again. Queenstown is a small town, and it seems that there are far more tourists (kiwis and international) than local residents, and is advertised [...]

The ferry was full of tourists, locals, and livestock as it made its way to Pincton, a tiny little village with a large cargo port for ships and trains and backpacking hostels for those making their way through the [...]
We got to our hotel for about 2/2:30pm. Wellington is a very hilly town with a population of 450,000. The way it compensates for its hills is kind of strange. To get to the hotel, we had to enter through a small shopping area to take an elevator 9 stories up, and then we were [...]
It was 1am in Auckland when we landed. I left my laptop in the seat pocket while flying, and when disembarking the plane. Something I only realized after making it half way to New Zealand customs. I ran back where to my surprise people were still getting off the plane and got my laptop. The [...]
Swam in a long beach on Waiheke Island. Got miserably sun burnt. Nothing I can do about it other than grin and bear it. After did a day long tour of some New Zealand countryside, and then a boat ride around the Bay of Islands. The next day, wandered around downtown Auckland, then at 6:30pm [...]
Bad sun screen and bad sun screen practices have turned me into a giant red canadian after swimming/floating in the pacific ocean all day on the beaches of Waiheke Island in New Zealand. I’ll post more about Sydney and Auckland later.
